Pond Cycle® revolutionises the use of plastics in manufacturing. The bioresins and engineered biocomposites use existing industrial equipment and manufacturing setups, making the green transition fast and seamless.
Plants take in CO2 from the atmosphere and store it. Our advanced technology turns plants into strong, durable resins and engineered biocomposites that can be biodegraded, composted and repurposed.
Green Transition
By replacing crude oil based materials with plant based ones, we’re accelerating the green transition every time we buy products.
Plants use light and CO2 to grow, releasing oxygen in the process. By using plants as a component in materials we’re sequesting CO2 and keeping oil in the ground.

Pond Cycle® bioresin and engineered biocomposites are based on carbohydrates from plant material.
Technology
Pond Cycle® combines shorter chains of molecules into longer, more complex chains, configured for specific use cases to comply with key technical specifications. The biopolymers we provide are thermoplastic and feature high mechanical performance.
They can be used in existing conventional manufacturing equipment, and are – depending on the composition of choice – ductile and elastic.
100% biobased
ASTM6866 certified natural origins. Standardized analytical method for determining the biobased content of solid, liquid, and gaseous samples using radiocarbon dating.
100% biodegradable
ISO14855 certified ultimate aerobic biodegradation. Microorganisms fully consume a chemical compound or organic matter in the presence of oxygen. Biodegration produces CO2, water and mineral salts.
Pond Cycle® bioplastics are 100% natural in origin – thus helping sequester CO2 – as well as being completely biodegradable. They match, or outperform, crude oil based plastics in multiple areas.

SOURCING
Pond Cycle is a fully biobased enhancer system utilized in combination with lactide and polymerized lactide (PLA).
Lactide is the most abundant monomer building block found in nature suitable to substitute fossil-based building blocks for conventional polymers. Lactide is sourced from bacteria eating carbohydrates, opening vast volumes of potential feedstock from bio-waste in all regions. Pond Cycle® is made 100% from regenerative and recyclable resources.

We aim to provide manufacturers with effective, practical and commercially attractive replacements for harmful, CO2-emitting conventional plastics from fossil fuels.
