Pond nominated for the Danish entrepreneurial award – Iværksætterprisen 2017

Only three weeks after winning the Startup Booster competition at JEC WORLD 2017,
Pond receives it second award nomination this year – this time the Danish Iværksætterpris.

The excitement was hard to ignore when the Pond team received the news of the nomination of Iværksætterprisen.

During the last two years, the Pond team has worked intensely to develop the Pond Bioresin and the interest has been tremendous from both potential business partners and investors. This has boosted the whole team’s motivation.
Therefore, it is a huge recognition to be nominated. It shows the time is right for ground breaking changes in the composite industry.

Iværksætterprisen is handed out by the Business Region Aarhus and is presented to entrepreneurs, who have created the most sensational and surprising result within 3 categories: Young Stars, Change the World and The World is Yours. Pond is nominated in the category, Change the World, together with the two other companies AgriFarm Innovation and SwapKids.

This particular category is for entrepreneurs, who seek to change the world through innovative business solutions with an environmental or social influence. In the selection process of the nominees, the focus has been on the companies’ ability to make a difference within the specific industries.

Important dates
The winners of Iværksætterprisen will be announced on the 2nd of May 2017 from 5pm to 9pm at a special event held at Centralværkstedet in Aarhus, Denmark.

Before the announcement of the winners, Pernille Alberg Pedersen, Business Developer and Partner at Pond, will pitch the business idea in front of a jury on the 20th of April 2017. The jury panel consists among others of CEO of Momondo, Pia Vemmelund and Patrizia Venturelli Christensen, CEO of Trollbeads.
